 I think the other aspect of this that makes the warnings confusing is that
 the limit reported by the compiler when emitting messages ''changes''.
 Since the man page doesn't document the behaviour of the limit changing,
 and the warning message doesn't use a clearer phrasing (such as "the
 current local limit"), the message is even more indecipherable than it
 needs to be, and there's no way to interpret it properly without reading
 the compiler source.
