I don't know what bindlist is (is it cross-compiling?), but yes, i can
reproduce it on my Ubuntu 10.04 system.
Could it depend on the compiler version? The version i have is
$ gcc --version
gcc (Ubuntu 4.4.3-4ubuntu5) 4.4.3
