You can compile 4.06 with 4.04. We distribute a binary 4.04 for
libc-2.0. If you want a Debian version you'll have to
ask Michael Weber...

| Subject: ghc-4.06 for libc-2.0
|
|
| I have got into a stupidly stuck situation.
| A stable recent GHC version is needed. ghc-4.06 is going to be such.
| And it should be able to be built from sources: I want to see that it
| passes this test.
| ghc-4.04 cannot compile ghc-4.06 due to certain bug.
| Hence, it seems, I have to install first ghc-4.06 binary
| (for Linux - Debian - libc-2.0 - i386-unknown).
| ---
| But where one can reach the binary for libc-2.0 ?
| haskell.org shows GHC only for libc-2.1.
|
| Our admistrator says the time for libc-2.1 installing will
| come not so
| immediately.
