For reference, the reason we moved away from buildbot is that it needs to maintain a TCP connection for the duration of the build. With some builds taking many hours (either on old platforms, or on modern hardware but with a full testsuite run and nofib etc) it was common that a brief network glitch caused a build to not finish.
