I've really liked my Goggles4U glasses. The lenses in one of the pairs
that I wear all the time (the ones in the current banner of the site),
went bad after about a year of really steady wear. I did not treat
them well, but I've learned my lesson. I still wear them probably 40%
of the time but the lenses are from 39$ (a re-lensing).

Perhaps the lenses weren't as rugged? I'm not entirely sure. I have
two other pairs that I wear with less frequency (maybe once a week)
and I've not seen any issues with the lenses on them. Of course, now I
carry a micro-fiber cloth everywhere.

I'm sorry this soured you on the online glasses. I sometimes wonder
how things would be different if I was still in one frame every day. I
think spreading around the wear in a few pairs has many benefits and
certainly leads to a longer life for all of them.
