Determined to dip my feet into the online glasses waters, after a few comments at Glassy Eyes mentioning the optometrists at Costco, I gave them a shot. Dr. Silbert in the Waltham, MA store was very helpful and didn't balk when I asked for my PD. When I did he seemed amused and asked "Are you ordering your glasses online?".. He didn't have anything bad to say about online shops, and reaffirmed that he was independent of the optical department at Costco and didn't care where I ordered my glasses, he had no vested interest.
