I just tried to place an order with Goggles4U for another pair of reading glasses and they no longer will fill my presciprtion (-10.5 for reading) with standard plastic lenses. Instead, the options are for two types of mineral glass lenses, which I have always avoided because I thought it would be heavy. Does anyone know how heavy it would be, relative to plastic lenses, in my prescription? Goggles4U refers to the lenses as " - 1.71 Super High Index Glass Lenses", and they'll end up costing $57.99 before shipping. I realize that isn't super-expensive for prescription glasses, but I'd like to have some idea of whether these will be uncomfortably heavy before I order them. (I did pick out a fairly small frame -- their #27717.)
