Did you ever get your glasses or hear more from 39dollarglasses? After
you placed your order, did they give you an estimate of when they
would ship?

I ordered two pairs of glasses from them - one on Sunday night
(distance) and another on Monday morning (reading). Very, very simple
prescriptions, and for both they said that my glasses should ship in
2-4 business days. By Tuesday morning my first pair appeared to be
moving nicely through their system, with an estimated ship date of 8
pm on the 28th. At the end of Tues., they appeared to be undergoing
final inspection. First thing Wed. AM, the update said that they had
unfortunately failed final inspection and they were remaking them, and
would put a priority on them so as not to delay shipment too much.
Shortly afterwards, the process page had backed up and it appeared
that the lenses were being redone. There was a new ship estimate of 8
pm on the 29th. Fine. Yesterday (the 29th) I only saw one step's worth
of progress identified on the status page - from lens polishing to
completed glasses assembly - and the status has remained stuck there
for the past 24 hours.

My second pair of glasses were estimated to ship on the 28th. They
have been stuck at "lens edge polishing" since Wednesday afternoon,
the 28th.

My opinion is that if these status pages are not going to be kept up
with, they would be better off not having them at all! All it does is
raise expectations that "yay! I'll have my glasses before the end of
the week," and then when they, for whatever reason, can't meet their
promised deadline there is disappointment. I think the order status
page is a great idea, but not too helpful if you can't trust it.

I'll post back whenever I do receive them.
