Doing a little research, I'm finding no reputable sources that recommend any tinted glasses for night driving, for the simple reason that any tint cuts down on all light reaching the eye, which is hardly a good idea at night.
There's a good deal of support for anti-reflective coatings, however. Here's what AAA says on the whole topic of headlight glare. Their recommendation about eyewear is on Page 14. http://www.aaafoundation.org/pdf/headlightglarebrochure.pdf Here's another interesting article, from a lens lab: http://www.laramyk.com/learn/night_driving.html Here's an article about night blindness, with an interesting idea about gradient tinting that would let the wearer progressively add glare filrtering by varying their head tilt: http://www.abledata.com/abledata_docs/Night_Vision.htm And here's an article that talks about what the sunglass industry association has to say: http://sunglasses.lovetoknow.com/Night_Sunglasses On Apr 15, 9:18 pm, warlock <[email protected]> wrote: > My girlfriend has a problem with night driving.
