I've seen the type of "computer" glasses i think you're talking about. I've always considered them something of a joke.
There are two reasons that I know of why your eyes get tired from computer work. 1) You need a different focal length lens for working on the computer, like bifocals or multifocals and such. Something that will give you a small amount of magnification compared to your distance lenses. 2) Your eyes are designed to constantly change focus from up close to far away on regular basis. Staring at a computer screen doesn't allow that, and your eyes will get strained after a time from doing it. The first can be solved by seeing your optometrist and telling him/her about your problem. The second can be helped by taking a minute every 15 mins. to look away from the screen and focusing on things at different distances to give your eye muscles a chance to flex themselves and relax a bit. -=# Firewalker #=- On Apr 23, 9:19 pm, nova <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > > I've purchased regular glasses online before and was really satisfied > (Last pair, through glassescrafter.com). > > Now, I have to work more and more with my computer, and my eyes are > often tired. > I've seen ''computer glasses'' category. > > Does anyone have any experience with them?
