Ordered these on 5/21/09...got them on 5/28/09...to the midwest. At first I thought I was out of luck...couldn't see thru them for whatever...fuzzy. So I remembered that I needed to "fit" them. I do this by folding the ear pieces down and testing the viewing ANGLE to find the sharpest view..with this pair I ended up needing to bend the earpieces UP to the point they were pretty much at a 90* angle to the lense...they were shipped with the lense part bent back in at the bottom. Now have a sharp view.
They are the Joseph Marc 4001 frame...not really designer frames...but they seem to be solidly made...ss...spring hinges. Hinges are tight...screws tight...lenses edged pretty well. Came in a hard shell case...microfiber cloth and screwdriver included. Pretty good for what I paid. https://www.coastalcontacts.com/glasses/frames/prod24001.html My previous glasses were bought online from the Eyeglass Factory Outlet around 6 yrs ago...two pairs for $54 shipped. The ones with glass lenses lasted 4 yrs...the plastic ones 2 yrs or so. Vision this time was tested at 20-30 before correction...no macular/pressure problems....I'm lucky. Now I might try bifocals....but not looking forward to it.
