Just a couple of comments. I think titanium should also be non- corroding. I too get tired of the green crud accumulating around the nosepieces, even with a gold-filled frame.
The lens height of the frame you mentioned is very small (25mm), and that can accentuate the appearance of one side being a tiny bit higher than the other side on your face. It's not unusual to have tiny asymmetries on your head that make it a little tricky to get the frame seated just right.
