After a long research, I ordered my first pair of glasses (tinted, progressive, and strong Rx) from 39 Dollar Glasses. So far, I am definitely NOT impressed.
I ordered my glasses on June 11th, and got an email from them on June 12th, telling me my order was being processed, and that my glasses would ship in 2-4 days. I had read on their website that my glasses, because of them being progressive, tinted, etc., would take between 2-4 days, so this timeframe is what I expected. On June 19th, having had no updates from this company, I emailed them to find out the status of my glasses. They emailed back that same day and informed me that “Your order is almost complete. As long as it passes inspection, it should be shipped by Monday.” Monday came and went, and I received nothing from them in terms of communication. I emailed them again before the end of the business day, and they once again emailed me back, informing me that “Your order is being tinted. As long as it passes inspection, it should be shipped by tomorrow.” I have received nothing today. No shipment notice, no emails. As a matter of fact, I emailed them once more today, and so far they have not responded. As others have mentioned, it is impossible to get them on the phone. You are put on hold forever, even when you call early in the morning, as someone suggested. I’ve also tried several times their “live chat”, and after several minutes, every time I’ve been informed that there are “no operators available”. The order tracking that is available through this company’s website is not working either. After entering my order # and the delivery zip code, it says my glasses would ship on June 19th. Unfortunately, it has said the same every single day. I have no idea what to do in terms of these glasses, and any ideas are welcome. I do know that I will not order from this company again, regardless of how pleased I am with my glasses – should I ever get them. And it is their loss really, since everybody in my family wears glasses and was looking for a responsible, reputable online company to purchase glasses from.
