I posted a bit elsewhere, but I figured I'd add my 2 cents here. I just got my first pair of online glasses a few weeks ago. I put in my order at goggles4u on 6/30. I got some brown semi-rimless frames, frame# 32330, so I got 1.59 polycarbonate lenses, as I am rather error-prone. My scrip is Right: Sph -3.50, Left: Sph -3.00, Cyl -1.00, Axis 177. My PD was split oddly, Right 34.5, Left 34. The had fractional PD options and a space for "MonoPD"s, but I wasn't sure, so I filled in every option and left a comment.
With the glassyeyes discount and free shipping, it came out to US $40.84 The payment didn't go through until 7/1, and the glasses arrived on 7/7, shipped from CA to AL. Initially I was suprised at the thickness of the lenses and thought I might've been jipped on the polycarbonate, but a bit of help from these forums showed I was just being paranoid. I have to say that I am tremendously happy with these glasses. A few odd things: The color on these is pretty accurate compared to the pictures and the 360' viewer on the website, but not the scan used for the virtual try-on feature. It helped a lot seeing the frame shape on my face, but the scan was a lot brighter than the actual coloring. Also, the writing on the frames claims they are Alain Mikli, but the number on the frame is not in any of the catalogs on their website. They could be back-stock or somesuch, but I tend to believe that they're knock-offs. I don't mind, since g4u never claimed they were Mikli on their website, and, hey, they were $40. After I had ordered my glasses, I found a coupon code that can be entered, FREEFRAME, that makes the frames on a second pair free with the purchase of the first. I donno if it still works, but playing around with the shopping cart, it worked for me, It stacked with the 15% repeat customer discount, but it won't stack with the glassyeyes code.
