Well, I placed my order on July 14/09. Lab emailed me the next day and told me my prescription was "too strong" for rimless frames. Changed my order to a full frame style 2 days later.
Ordered progressives, very high prescription (-8.75 right eye, -6.50 left eye). Glasses were received today....less than two weeks! The good news.....the prescription appears to have been filled correctly. Lenses are in good shape, crystal clear, vision is excellent. The bad news.....the frames are butt ugly. I really wanted a rimless or semi-rimless pair of glasses. I probably should have ordered a metal frame, but went with plastic...my bad. The lenses are SUPER THICK!!! Zenni doesn't offer the option of high index progressives. Zenni insists that they cannot do progressives with lenses less than 32mm high. My current lenses are 25mm high. Anything larger than 30mm rides on my cheeks. The clip on sunshades.....not a good idea. Cheap looking and the mechanism for attaching them to the glasses obstructs my vision. So.....kudos to Zenni for getting glasses here in under two weeks. And the prescription appears to be filled correctly. Would I order from them again.....probably not.....because they don't do high index progressives, so they can't put my prescription into rimless or semi-rimless. But, if I wasn't so flipping blind, I would certainly order from them again given this experience. And now.....let's see what the return procedure is like. I see that they offer a 50% refund for glasses which are returned within 30 days. I'll start that process tomorrow. Still waiting for the (rimless) pair from 39Dollarglasses.
