So, I ordered 6 pairs of glasses online ---- 4 from Zenni, 1 from $39, and 1 from Eyebuydirect.
For my PD, I got it done at my former eye doctor (who doesn't know they are my FORMER eye doctor, as I just got done with exams and new contacts at a new place). While I was there, just for the heck of it and to not make it so awkward, I pointed out that I bought my current glasses there and one lens is in rough shape (it really is), and I asked how much it would be to just swap out both lenses and keep using the frames (which I hate). They said it would be $120, I said "does that include AR coating", she said "no that's an additional $95". LOL, $215 for new lenses for 1 year old glasses. No thanks. Anyways, she writes down my info, my PD is 31.5/32.5. The mistake I made is that I've been very anxious to order, so I had everything bookmarked that I wanted and ordered all of the pairs immediately after I got home from the eye doc (I've had everything picked out and ready to go for weeks). I looked up what my PD meant for ordering online since I had 2 numbers, and I quickly found a few sites that just said to add them together, so, 64 for me. (64 is also what I measured on my own using various methods). So, I ordered all of my glasses Monday, and just today did some more research and found that I should have indicated that it was 31.5/32.5 in the comments section....Did I mess up, or is it not going to be THAT big of a deal with such a small difference. I assume they will just divide by 2, so each eye, according to the person who did my PD measurement, is going to be off by 1/2mm. My Rx is -3.75 and -3.5, so not terribly strong. hopefully I'm just over-analyzing, but thought you guys might have some insight... thanks! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Check us out at the oft-updated http://glassyeyes.blogspot.com!
