Okay, I am definitely a convert!! After being told by several on line
companies that they could not provide me with rimless glasses due to
the strength of my prescription (Zenni), I emailed 39DollarGlasses and
they said no problem.
July 28/09 Ordered my glasses. Rimless 1, with progressive lenses.
Rx as follows: -8.75 -0.25 090 +2.50
-6.75 -1.25 100 +2.50
(Yes, I am blind).
July 31/09 Received a phone call from 39DollarGlasses, stating that
they had sent my glasses out to another lab to accommodate the rimless
frame, with an upgrade in lenses, AT NO COST TO ME....and were
refunding my $12.95 international shipping charge as form of apology
for the delay. The customer service rep who called me was friendly,
and very apologetic. Wow.....GREAT customer service!! Shipping
charge was refunded to my VISA card immediately.
August 7/09 Received email stating that my glasses had been
shipped.
August 18/09 Received my glasses.
They fit perfectly. Very comfortable. Field of vision is EXCELLENT
for distance/intermediate/reading. No apparent distortion around
the edges. The lens edges are polished beautifully. You can see that
they had to make special accommodations to fit the lenses into a
rimless mount, but those are hidden by the hinges.
Compared to the glasses I just got from a storefront last week (at a
cost of over $800, but insurance covered $400 of that).....These are
more comfortable and have better optics. I'll never go back.
I would HIGHLY recommend 39DollarGlasses to anyone based on this
experience!
