Hi Everyone! I ordered some prescription sunglasses from 39DollarGlasses about two months ago. I had just gotten an updated prescription and I have been eager to try out buying glasses online. I made sure to get my PD at the doctor's office, so I thought nothing could go wrong. Of course, I was wrong about not being wrong.
The sunglasses arrived quickly and everything seemed great, but when I put them on, something just didn't seem right. I am myopic, and while the close to medium range of my vision was sharp, the long range of my vision was fuzzier than my current nine year old prescription. I thought that maybe I needed some time to adjust, but even after a week it was the same. I sent them back to have $39 examine them, but they claim that they were properly made. I double checked the prescription that I gave to them, and it is correct. The only number I may have screwed up is the PD. $39's site only had a text field for a single PD number, but on my prescription I have two different numbers, one for the right eye and one for the left eye. I assumed (and this is the only assumption I made) that I should add the two numbers together and give the total to $39 as my PD. Was that a mistake? Should I have specified the difference in my PD for each eye? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I want to buy a pair of regular glasses in addition to a correct pair of prescription sunglasses, but even at these prices I can't afford to make mistakes. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Check us out at the oft-updated http://glassyeyes.blogspot.com!
