No, it's one lens width plus the entire bridge width.  If you want
your pupils to center in the lenses, then between them you'll have
half of one lens, the bridge, and half of the other lens.

If your PD is around 60, than you should be looking for frames with
(for instance) 18mm bridge and 42mm lenses, or thereabouts.  That will
keep the edge thickness of your lenses to a minimum all the way
around.

Look for frames that extend past the outer edges of the lenses before
bending back towards the temples.  That increases the total width of
the frames without moving the lens centers farther apart.
