Based on your information without PD or the lens width of your frame,
I selected the average PD of 63mm and lens width of 48mm to calculate
edge thickness of your lens based on 4 types of lens:

1.5 standard CR39 lens - OD:2.4mm OS:2.4mm
1.56 mid index CR39 lens - OD:1.8mm OS:1.8
Polycarbonate lens - OD:1.8mm OS:1.8mm
1.6 high index lens - OD:1.8mm OS:1.8mm

As you can see from all cases, the lens thickness for all 4 types of
material is exactly the same for both your right(OD) and left lens(OS)
and that spending more money for polycarbonate or high index 1.6 lens
in your case is a waste of money !
