Try your new glasses vs the old ones with one eye closed at a time, to see how it works for each eye. (My guess is that it's the prism that's the suspect, but that's a guess.)
I think the way to make sure you get just a reading prescription is to not submit the entire prescription, but to use instead a single vision version of the prescription that is meant for reading. That would mean removing the ADD and changing the +2.00 and -0.75 to +4.00 and +1.25. The PD would be the lesser of the two bifocal values. I think everything else would remain the same, thought it's a good idea to check that with your eye doctor.
