I thought about that last time-- just getting the script from the opthamologist and then shopping around for glasses. Our insurance pays the eye docs exam and I get a hefty discount on the glasses. (My husband gets his free.) I am not real sure what the insurance would pay (if anything) if I got the exam from the opthamologist.
