I just received my first pair of Zenni glasses today (ordered on Dec. 31). I'm very pleased with the quality and the appearance. http://www.zennioptical.com/cart/product.php?productid=1722&cat=20&page=1 I selected these in the tortoiseshell color.
I don't know if this is just my experience, but when I used to buy frames from my eye doctor's office, they were kind of bullies. I needed to buy the budget frames, and when I asked to see the least expensive styles the receptionist actually pulled a cardboard box from under the desk for me to rifle through! Those are the frames I've been wearing until these arrived, and they really hurt my face. Zenni's are nice and comfortable with some liberal temple adjustment (and much cheaper -- the bargain frames from the doctor's were still $100). Also, I was really pressured into buying the ultra-thin lenses since my prescription is so high, about -7.50. The optometrist told me that if I didn't pay the extra for them, my lenses would be over half an inch thick. I selected the standard index for my lenses from Zenni, and they are about 3/16", which is fine for me. My only issue with Zenni was the amount of time it took for my glasses to arrive, but I must admit I was a bit impatient. I will definitely order more, now that I have one comfortable pair to wear. Not only that, but I'm going to work on converting my entire family! Both my grandparents, four of their six children & children-in-law, and four of their six grandchildren wear glasses, so this could save us a TON.
