If your prescription is (-)1.75, and you add (+)1.75 to that, then you
get a zero correction.  He's already giving you what you want...no
correction for reading.  It should be the same as taking off your
glasses.

Something else is going on...or your requirements are different than you state.

First step would be to verify that the glasses were made properly.
Have the lenses checked at the local eye doc and make sure they're
consistent with your prescription.  The lenses should match what you
ordered.

Second step would be to verify your prescription by having your eyes reexamined.
