Like I said, adult PD does not change. So, here's another approach
that may work for you.
At the place you got your last pair of glasses, have them print out
your records. It should show not only your prescription, but also the
PD number. A friend did this at Sears, and all the information was
there, on the printout, and given with no questions.
Just out of curiosity, how are you approaching/asking the doctors and
optometrists? Remember that many of them feel threatened by online
purchasers, so they can react badly. I've never had one deny me the
measurement, but some have quoted me a price. That's where my $5
figure came from...and that's fair, since they'd be doing (minimal)
work in providing me with the measurement.
Maybe it's just a regional thing...the nearest big city to me is Dallas, TX.
As to buying the pupilometer, as was said above, many doctors just do
it with a ruler. So, the added precision of most pupilometers will
probably serve you well. And, you can measure your friends, too!
