Mine were unpolished. Many combinations of weaker prescriptions and plastic frames often make polishing unnecessary, but an unpolished thicker lens in a metal frame is pretty ugly. If you have the time, you could remove the lenses yourself and do the edges with a polish like Simichrome or Novus. There could well be polishes that work quicker, or maybe an electric buffing wheel, which I don't have any experience with.
