I am looking to purchase a new pair of semi rimless or wire rims. In the past, my problem with either style is the effect of the white edge or white ring around the wire. I'm sure this has to do with my strong prescription (right eye -5.25, axis 175). I realize that my lens will be thick. However, I have several pairs of rimless glasses that look great. I ask for the edges to be polished but not rolled. I really like the look and it does not have the cloudy edge from the front. Has anyone ordered semi rimless or wire frames and asked them to polish the edge first? Is this possible and do you think it would help the appearance from the front on these styles?
