That doesn't seem quite right. Your normal P.D. is taken when you're
looking 15-20 ft. in the distance. When you focus on a near object,
like reading a book, your eyes converge slightly, and so your P.D.
shortens 3 to 5mm. For most people, 3mm shorter is correct for most
people (this is the estimate that Walmart uses, for example - most
opticians do not take a near P.D. but instead estimate it). So, in
your case, your near P.D. should be 27.5 and 27.5, or 55. You might
want to email them and ask about the calculation they're using.
