I like this better. (I should point out that the AIs _already_ take advantage of global knowledge of the map that they wouldn't have in a fair game. For example, in deciding whether to launch an attempt to clear a path to its enemy, Nicowar consults a global resource gradient to ask if there is already a clear path between its buildings and its enemy's buildings. And this computation ignores which portion of the map has been discovered.) > Leo Wandersleb > > P.S.: this would make a cheat of placing walls around the swarm far > more likely to happen. we should address that. > See > http://globulation2.org/wiki/Wishlist#Better_areas -> paving areas See also my proposal on a new system for building/upgrading/repairing buildings, which I believe completely solves the building-site-abuse problem. -- Joe _______________________________________________ glob2-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/glob2-devel
