YES, those are quite probably Barton's motives. However,
doesn't it speak well of the quality of global warming science,
that Rep. Barton, with all the resources available to him,
has to pin his attack on an 8-year-old science paper? He
can't find anything newer? He certainly has the drafts of
the IPCC's 4th assessment report. Can't his people find
anything there?
