well, the nuclear tests did not have clear impact on the climate, at
least in a long run, but they had strong impact on the proportions of
the radionuclides present in the atmosphere ... the C14 was one of the
most affected. the thermonuclear bombs added large quantities of 14C
to the atmosphere, mainly during the 1955-1963 period.

on direct consequence is that the atmosphere now has an apparent age
of about 70 years in the future.
