Ross, you silly boy.
Anyone who has the slightest familiarity with the science knows there
are long time lags built into the system. It takes decades for carbon
that enters the atmosphere today to make its full impact on climate.
His proposal is a perfect recipe for not acting on the problem until
it's too late to do anything to about it.
I can imagine McKitrick's take on health insurance: Since the ultimate
proof of the need for medical care is death, we will deny everyone
health insurance until they are dead, at which point they will receive a
comprehensive policy.
Recently we've seen McKitrick's coauthorship of the infamous "no mean
temperature" article, and now this proposal. Hmm...
