Indices ended the day on volatile node with negative closing. Session was
extremely volatile throughout the day. Banking, Metals and Technology share
took a hit while amazingly Realty stocks showed buying interest. The Sensex
ended the day with a loss of 81.39 points, or 0.74% at 10,898.11 after touching
a high of 11,068.82 and a low of 10,764.08. The broad-based NSE Nifty declined
11.80 points, or 0.35% at 3,365.30 after hitting a high of 3,414.70 and a low
of 3,309.35. BSE Midcap declined 0.16%, while Small cap index rose 0.42%.
RBI works on Repo and Reverse Repo rates, cuts 25 bps

As part of its Annual Credit Policy, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today cut
repo and reverse repo rates by 25 basis points (0.25%) each. The repo is the
rate at which the RBI lends to banks while the reverse repo is the opposite.
