I say you that what you're asking for is already in GLPI.
I repeat :
In the knowledge base, You edit a new article and
'''When you insert a link with the KB toolbar''' you could choose if you
want that the link should open in the window or a NEW window when the
-stupide users- (as you say) click on it.
When i said "I want to bite somebody". It was a joke, i never bite anyone
since i work on GLPI. Sometimes i bark but that's all.
And about the article "Contributing" on the website : I'm the author ;)
