Logic would dictate that you first control the areas of greatest risk and exposure. General aviation is not one of these areas. However, it is relatively small in comparison and because it is small the government/certain individuals can attempt to get their arms around it. At the same time more critical issues are ignored and the publics attention is diverted away from larger concerns. I hate the idea that we could be used as a diversion to appease the non-flying general public and to make politicians look proactive when in fact most are incapable of dealing with the real issues as such efforts would place tighter control on the general public and could impact the number of votes cast. It's America (expletive), and we accept greater risks to have the freedoms we enjoy! What's next a photo ID and FAA written, oral, check-ride, and bi-annual for guys who fly remote control airplanes? These aircraft pose the same risk our planes do and the pilot can get in his car and drive home after he/she has supported his/her perverted cause... Bill DuCharme
