Hello Jack, This intercom may be able to work off the 13.75 voltage on your coupe, "but", it would be safer to regulate the voltage. The regulator your need is a LM317T. Radio shack has these and they are easy to use. You must use two resistors to set the voltage. If you have problems with pos vs. neg ground there are negative regulators available.
