 Ryan,I am no expert on this subject but this might help.Your oil
consuption does not sound bad to me.If your cyls. are high time,and the
person who owned the plane last did not fly often enough or not at the
proper RPMS. this could cause your problem.Do not try to save gas by
cruising at a real low RPM.This does a lot of harm to your eng.I know
that a lot of people do not feel this way but I have had real good luck
by leaning on the ground and in the air.If I do not lean,I get that
buildup around the stems and have to ream almost every year.Make sure
that you change the oil and filter often.If you do not fly often still
change it 4 times a year.Oil and filters are a lot easier to change than
cyls. with all those little pain in the butt baffles.Good luck and keep
the RPMS.up where they should be.Jim
