Vern,  Perhaps you're right.  If it's newly overhauled, and you get the
hours in the 4 years.  Could last.   But, how many have ever had that kind
of treatment.  Fact is, most are 12 years SMOH, and have 700 hours on
them.
Under those conditions, a Lycoming will out last a Continental.   That's
my
story, and I'm sticking to it.
