I have just got tired of oil leaks and am in the process of replacing
most of the 50+ year old gaskets on my engine.
I bought a gasket kit complete with rubber parts and clamps etc. and
find two things:
The push rod tube rubber boots come with a couple of wire clamps. these
look like spring wire clamps that you snap on with a pair of plyers. I
don't know how reliable these are. Any reports?

I also found that the kit does not include a gasket for the fuel pump.
Since this pump looks a lot like an automotive fuel pump, could I find
this gasket at an auto parts store?
