I'll second Jon's posting... I took my carb off while installing the new engine ( a year ago) and couldn't believe what burbled out. Plenty of water. Personally I will thoroughly drain the carb (by removing it) every annual. I know that some will say "if you check your gascolator every flight... then there won't be any..." Well I do and there was. If you haven't checked since you have owned your coupe, then you never know what someone has done before you. My coupe had been outside for quite awhile before I bought it. It was not flying, although from time to time it would be run up. My guess is that water was present in the gascolator but not checked since it wasn't going to leave the ground.
