Good, Pete. Please remember, I think the sensitive EGT, such as the one from K&S, with the adjustable dial and the BIG, 25-degree markings is a necessary part of leaning. I'd recommend the 4-probe EGT if you can afford it. If you can only afford the single probe EGT, ask the list which cylinder runs hottest on their 4-probe EGTs. Be prepared for variations, I'm told, because most planes have differences from perfect in the baffling and some have differences in their cowling. I, personally, think leaning is a good thing for Coupes as long as you control it correctly with good input-information. Keep in mind, that, in my limited experience, my Coupe with a Stromberg carb reacts somewhat slowly to mixture changes - make a change and wait to see the result. Please also remember, I'm not a mechanic and I don't even play one on the web. Ed Burkhead ====================== TO UNSUBSCRIBE go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm
