Artie; it depends is the best answer. I believe if you have a serial # after 813, greg is correct and they used 1/8 pipe fittings. However, on my 1945 Coupe, serial # 170 they used 1/4 pipe fittings for the drains. I do not know where they changed over. I know the ones with the banjo fittings that had the drain on the bottom are 1/8 pipe. I have used both types, and I think the one that locks open (curtis) is the best.
