Definitely get the Curtis, which aren't original.

They drain better, especially if you want to use a GATS jar to save
gas and the environment. They also seem to seal more reliably.
And, if you need to drain a tank it's nice to be able to lock them
open.

I've lived with both. N99387 has the non-Curtis ones, and replacing them
with Curtis is on my 'rainy day to-do' list.

Artie; it depends is the best answer. I believe if you have a serial #
after 813, greg is correct and they used 1/8 pipe fittings. However, on my
1945 Coupe, serial # 170 they used 1/4 pipe fittings for the drains. I do
not know where they changed over. I know the ones with the banjo fittings
that had the drain on the bottom are 1/8 pipe. I have used both types, and
I think the one that locks open (curtis) is the best.
