My apologies to those who tried to call the number I had at the bottom of
the ad. I typed that up fast one morning before work and my fingers
wandered off when I typed the phone number. It should be 309-698-6048
between 6-8:30 evenings on weekdays or 309-256-0325 on weekends.

Here are a couple of other things I typed up in response to questions:

It does have rudder pedals. Fred Weick didn't pooh-pooh pedals. He
thought the interlinkage was just an option and he told me he expected to
sell half the planes WITH pedals. It was the marketing department that
insisted they sell them only (almost) without pedals.

There's enough rudder surface to land wing-low and lined up with the
runway up to about 15 mph crosswind. From there on, I leveled the wings
and landed in the crab. This plane has the Alon pedal kit so you steer on
the ground with your feet and you can turn your ailerons into the wind
when you have a strong crosswind.

I have tried fully cross-controlled stalls at about 1350 lb. gross and up
to almost 2300 rpm. It gets to be a roller coaster ride with full left
rudder, lots of right aileron, lots of power and pull back. But Fred was
right when he said it's certified as "characteristically incapable of
spinning" both without and WITH rudders.

I know pedals are not needed in a Coupe. If you've got them, you have to
push them. But it does keep your feet motivated for getting back into
other planes. This would also be a good plane, with its pedals, for
students and young people building time for an aviation career.

There is some space on the panel since there are no instruments in the
area of the right glove compartment door. It still has the door. If you
were going to install a full set of avionics, I'd suggest starting with a
clean blank panel. I bought a blank panel last year and will include it
with the plane.

Note my phone number below - I somehow put the wrong number at the bottom
of the ad.
