We have it in the UK, despite soothing words before the government put it out to tender and various companies who now own a major portion of it the following is happening. Reduction of staff, the usual attack on pay and conditions, the fact that the new company is asking for a "hand out" or Baling Out from reduced revenue making the whole operation suspect and possibly bankrupt. Repeated failure of systems and total disruption of flights on a number of occasions. Don't go for it, oppose it, stay with what you have. I have given up flying in the UK due to the European Regulations becoming too onerous, fight excessive regulation, don't think that taking the "Privatisation" route will give better value or terms due to competition, this is a myth, the owners are only there to line their pockets with your cash.
