Jim,

The starter is from B&C Specialty Products, Inc, (
http://bandcspecialty.com ) it replaces existing pull-cable starters.

It is an STC'd replacement for the C-75, C-85, C-90 , C-145, O-200, O-240,
O-300 and GO-300 engines

Like everything in aviation, it ain't cheap, its about $800. Don't quote
me,
'cause I'm new at this, but my A&P and the engine shop recommeded this
swap.
I was facing a major overhaul with lots of metal found in the oil. It was
explained to me that the old pull type starter in some ways was
contributing
to the problem. He said that if they were not just right that when they
were engaged that they could wear and deposit metal, this gets into the
mag
gears, rod bearing,....etc and can cause the kind of problem that lead to
my
engine needing an overhaul at 1300hrs, and in my case he really thinks
this
was the culprit.

That's all I know about it. I included the link about for B&C's website
for
more info.
