I currently mount mine on the yoke, and like it there. On my old coupe
it was in the center of the panel. I liked that too.

I'm just using an ugly home-brew mount that I'm thinking of replacing with
the RAM mount.

I guess an advantage of the ball in the middle of the panel might be to
point it at the right seat and say 'here, keep us on course!'

I would have liked the leg idea, except that flying home from the
Nationals
in the haze I realized that looking down that far can induce vertigo. It
sure
was nice having the 'heads up' GPS display to work with for the part of
the
trip where my inner ear decided to go wonky!
