My Forney came with Cleveland model 304 brakes. The pins that engage the backplate are only 55/64" long and only slide in to a depth of about 1/4" when the outer brake pad is new. When the outer pad gets about 1/3 worn, the pins are barely into their sleeves, and one will fall out causing the casting to rub on the wheel rim.
