Gene, I have just totally redone my electrical system. The master switch
on my Coupe has four terminals, two large ones to interupt the battery
leads and two smaller ones to interupt the field from the generator to the
regulator. It appears that you in effect have the same thing, just in two
separate switches. I do have a circuit greaker to isolate the generator,
this circuit breaker is situated between the ammeter and the electrical
system,so in this manner I inadvertantly do have a generator switch
because I can activate the circuit breaker myself. Hope this helps. As a
sideline, my main leads were aluminum because of the shortage of copper
from the war ( all the copper went to bullets ), corrosion in these leads
extended to 8 inches from the battery terminals. This was not visible from
an external inspection, I had cut the leads to see if they were copper and
that is how I found out about the corrosion.Pete
