joa: Had that problem with the tach. It seems that the seal on the back of
the engine where the tach cable connects was leaking and my tach was full
of oil. Took it all apart and cleaning the oil off of the "spinning disk
thingy" in the tach. Replaced the seal and solved the problem. Jack r
